Consider everyone that will be at your party. You want it to be fun for the people that are younger and the people that are older. A little bit goes a long way in order to make the experience FUN FOR EVERYONE. Think of the different age groups. Think of things you can do for the different groups that will make it enjoyable for all!

A magician is great! A good magician should be able to do magic for children and entertain the adults as well. There are a lot of other entertainers that do that. And there are a lot of entertainers that only cater to either adults or kids. The truth is though, You don’t even need to hire entertainment to make your party fun. A little goes a long way!

One of the things I think is crazy is when I arrive at a party and there is no music playing! Of course I have my music ready to go and that’s one of the benefits of hiring me – that I’m going to bring my professional sounds system and play bumping tunes while I’m there which sometimes is the whole party but sometimes its not!

I find it crazy when I’m at a party with a lot of people in Long Island, New York or the tri-state area, and there’s no music to act as the soundtrack to the fun! The least you can do is have music playing for everyone.

When I’m at a party without music and I turn on my music, I notice the party always seems to pickup all of a sudden. The energy in the room seems to increase. The movement in the people at the party goes from stale and stagnant to more bumping and moving.

I also notice when I turn my music off, peoples energy turns off with the music!

We did a magic show, we made her son magically appear to kickoff the magic show, after the show we did a magic workshop which was capped off with mingling entertainment for the adults & with the kids showing their newly learned magic to everyone.

And that is the tip! Make the experience at the party FUN for the younger & the older people. Consider a performer that can appeal to different ages. Even music can make your party fun for all!

When you are hiring entertainment during covid19 or at any time, you should ask the entertainer or company you are interested in hiring a TON OF QUESTIONS.

As many questions that you want to ask, all types of questions you may have – EVEN if you think your questions might be a little annoying or “extra”, they are not.

If the entertainment company you are talking with is not excited and EAGER to answer your questions thoroughly and give you all the info you need to decide if you want to hire them…then you should probably look for a company that is professional and that actually likes to help people.

Remember this is a special event that you are planning for a SPECIAL occasion. You have a bunch of people coming over to celebrate, you are spending your HARD earned money – So make sure that you’re getting everything you need to make your event a success – and ask PLENTY OF QUESTIONS.

If you are having a party, you want people to be Laughing!

Of course you want to be safe but also fun! Laughter is medicine for the soul! Laughter is also great for pictures.

Make sure your entertainer will make your guests laugh! I include comedy in my show. If you are hiring a comedian, laughter is already included! Magiciains ventriloquists, hypnotists and a lot of other entertainers include comedy.

Also a good DJ, kids clown or children’s entertainer is also a great way to get people to laugh!

People love to see these different performers but more importantly, people love seeing the reactions of their loved ones!

For this party I remember performing the head illusion and when when they saw my head change in size, everyone bursted into hysterical laughter!

Sometimes people freak out and scream! and sometimes people react with uncontrollable laughter -which is one of my favorite reactions for that illusion!

So that is the tip: Make sure your guests will laugh!

You want to leave your party guests with a little parting gift, a thank you for coming. A gift bag or giveaway of some sort!

1st thing to consider about giveaways during social distancing times – especially for a kids party is – is it okay with the parents for the kids to go home with something?

Ask permission from parents their kids can go home with a goody bag or giveaway.

Last thing you want is to send a kid home with a goody bag and for their parents to be upset that they potentially brought home some type of harmful germs!!

Also, re-consider piñatas and candy stations. Consider prebagged or pre-sealed candy instead!

When a piñata breaks all the kids gather around closely to pickup the candy and with candy stations all the kids handle the same jars and lids.

Speaking of giveaways I want to mention my magic workshop.

After my show the audience learns magic and they each get their own magical goody bag!

They become magicians!

Then, they perform on people at the party or at home later! I often hear the magic workshop is people’s favorite part and I hear about guests using their magic gifts long after the party is over.

So that is the tip: Consider you party giveaways! And my magic workshop with goody bags is a great option!

During social distancing times its important that we consider all the food items that we’ll be serving.

We want to avoid people gathering around & SHARING THINGS as much as possible!

No 2 liter bottles for everyone to pickup and share.
No Self serving buffets.
Have everything as pre packaged as possible.
Drinks, you should serve Individually! Like juice pouches, soda cans & bottled water!
Sweet treats like cupcakes and cookies should be pre bagged or pre boxed.
For the main food, you may want to consider having a server or a few servers.
Depending on the type of party you’re planning you may want to hire professional servers or you may want to draft a couple friends or family members to be food servers, running food to peoples tables

That is the tip: Make sure the beverages, refreshments and treats you’re serving are social distance friendly.
